Tokyo can be a lot. Especially in places like Shibuya, where you’re shoulder to shoulder with crowds and flashing lights and that famous scramble crossing you just have to see. And yes-it’s iconic and fun and worth experiencing. But what if I told you that there’s a way to enjoy Shibuya from above, in peace, with snacks, coffee, and Wi-Fi... and none of the chaos?
Let me introduce you to one of our favorite discoveries in Tokyo: SHARE LOUNGE.
What is SHARE LOUNGE?
SHARE LOUNGE is like your personal quiet space in the middle of the city. Think: café vibes meets co-working space, but with unlimited snacks, drinks, and a killer view. It’s not a café where you feel rushed to order and leave. You pay by the hour and can settle in at a table, enjoy the ambiance, and take a real break from the Tokyo bustle.
It’s especially great for digital nomads, travelers needing to recharge, or anyone wanting to slow down and look out over Shibuya instead of being lost in the crowd below.
Location (and why it was weird to find)
Now let me save you the runaround-because finding SHARE LOUNGE is not as simple as Google Maps makes it seem.
It’s located above the Starbucks in Shibuya Tsutaya, which is inside the QFRONT building-the same building that faces the famous Shibuya Scramble. It’s the building with all the lights and big screens on it, you can’t miss the outside... but once you’re inside, that’s where things get tricky.
Even with directions, we found ourselves getting sent in circles, going through the wrong elevators, and being directed to the wrong floors. Here's what worked: go inside the same entrance as Starbucks in Shibuya Tsutaya and take the dedicated elevator up to the SHARE LOUNGE floor. If you’re unsure, don’t be afraid to ask a staff member near the escalators-they’re used to people looking confused. You are not alone.
What to Expect
Once you're in, you’ll understand why we loved it so much.
The lounge has a cozy, modern setup with a mix of seating-counter seats, comfy chairs, and (if you're lucky) tables by the window that overlook Shibuya Crossing. That’s the sweet spot. Those tables do fill up quickly, but if you’re willing to wait a bit, people cycle out often and you can usually grab one after a short while.
The lounge access includes:
-
Unlimited drinks (coffee, tea, juice, and sometimes even a self-serve espresso machine)
-
Snacks and light bites (nuts, crackers, chips, and sometimes pastries depending on time)
-
Wi-Fi, outlets at every table, and a quiet working atmosphere
-
Some packages even include alcohol or food upgrades depending on the time of day
It’s clean, peaceful, and gives you the feeling of being in a completely different Tokyo than what’s happening on the street below.
Why We Loved It
For us, it was the perfect reset. We’d been walking for hours, battling crowds, and just needed a break that didn’t involve yet another noisy café or squeezing into a tiny seat. SHARE LOUNGE gave us a chance to just sit, take in the view of Shibuya from above, and relax with snacks in hand.
Whether you want to rest your feet, do a little journaling, upload photos, catch up on emails, or just enjoy the view in peace, this is that spot.
It’s also a really unique way to experience Tokyo-not every highlight has to be high-energy. Some of the best memories are made in the quiet pauses.
If you're heading to Shibuya, I definitely recommend adding SHARE LOUNGE to your list. Book ahead if you can, especially during weekends or peak hours, or just pop in and see what’s available. Even waiting a few minutes for a table is worth it.
Because once you’re sitting there with your drink, snacks, and one of the best views in the city? You’ll get why this was one of our favorite Tokyo finds.
