Updated October 2025
Today was our last sea day, so we did the Dr. Seuss character breakfast, and OMG, it was adorable. I booked the later 9:45 a.m. seating because 8:15 was not happening for us. We rolled out around 9, got dressed, and headed to the dining room. The whole space was decked out in Seuss, bright colors, striped linens, the works. Jor-El’s eyes lit up (he’s a huge fan and actually reads the books). We were seated, handed the cutest themed menus, and before long the servers were bringing “Moose Juice” and “Goose Juice.” Characters popped in for photos, little moments at the tables, and waves across the room. It was sweet, low-stress, and very kid-happy.

When we sailed it was $5 per person, a small add-on for a memory the boys still talk about. (Yes, you can eat the included breakfast elsewhere, but this one is an experience.) I tipped extra because the staff went all-in on the fun.

Note: The breakfast paused during the pandemic and resumed Oct 1, 2022, which is when rebrand/rollout updates started appearing.

How to book (what works in 2025)
Pre-cruise: Reserve in the Cruise Manager (My Booking) up to 48 hours before sail; you pay when you reserve. It sells out on many sailings.

On board: If you didn’t snag it pre-cruise, check the HUB app or call the onboard reservation line; some sailings set up a sign-up table day one. Walk-ups may be seated if space permits.
When it happens: Usually one sea-day morning in a main dining room, commonly around 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. (exact times vary by ship/itinerary, watch your Fun Times/HUB).

What you actually get (then & now)
Characters & interactions: Expect Seuss favorites, Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 & Thing 2 - circulating for waves, photos, and quick table moments. It’s part of Carnival’s Seuss-at-Sea program, which also includes the Seuss-a-palooza parade and story time on most ships.

Menu highlights: Themed items like Green Eggs & Ham, colorful pancake stacks, “Moose Juice & Goose Juice,” and playful desserts alongside classic breakfast options for pickier eaters. (Menus vary by ship; the classic Green Eggs & Ham menu shows the vibe.)
Atmosphere: Dining room is done up in bright Seuss décor, photo-friendly without being chaotic. Staff leans into it (dancing, call-and-response, little surprises).

Parent notes (from me)
If your kids love Seuss, this is worth the add-on. Even my “I’m too cool for this” kid cracked a smile at the colors and the drinks.
Book the later seating if you want to sleep in (we did—10/10 would do again).
We tipped extra; the team kept the energy high and made it feel special.
