Disneyland Paris has a mix of rides that feel classic, nostalgic, thrilling, family-friendly, and different enough from the other Disney parks to make it worth visiting.
As Disney lovers, rides are always a big part of how we plan a Disney day. We have visited every Disney park in the world, so I love noticing what feels familiar, what feels different, and how each park puts its own spin on the Disney experience.
Disneyland Paris has two parks: Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World.
Disneyland Park is the castle park, and this is where you get that more classic Disney feeling with Sleeping Beauty Castle, Fantasyland, Adventureland, Frontierland, Discoveryland, Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain, Phantom Manor, Peter Pan’s Flight, and the main nighttime show.
Disney Adventure World is the second park, and this is where you get Pixar, Marvel, Frozen, Ratatouille, Tower of Terror, Crush’s Coaster, and the newer World of Frozen area with Frozen Ever After.
This guide is focused on the best rides across both parks, but I would not treat this as a checklist where you have to do every single thing. Disney days are better when you know your priorities, check wait times, and leave room for shows, food, wandering, and the moments that make the day feel special.
If this is your first Disneyland Paris visit, I would choose a few must-do rides before you go, then let the rest be a bonus.

How to Plan Rides at Disneyland Paris
The biggest mistake you can make at Disneyland Paris is walking in with no plan and assuming you will figure it out as you go.
You can figure some things out in the moment, but if you only have one day, you need at least a loose plan. Disneyland Paris is not huge compared to Walt Disney World, but with two parks, shows, food, lines, walking, and crowds, the day moves fast.
Before you go, decide your non-negotiables.
Do you care most about thrill rides?
Do you want the classic Disney rides?
Are you visiting for Frozen?
Are you traveling with kids who need gentler rides?
Are you trying to see both parks in one day?
Do you want to prioritize shows too?
The Disneyland Paris app is important because you can check wait times, maps, show schedules, dining, and Disney Premier Access options. Having data on your phone helps a lot here, so I like using Airalo eSIM or another eSIM when traveling abroad.
If you are only doing one day and both parks, do not waste your first hour wandering without direction. Start with the rides that matter most to you or the ones that usually build long waits.
And remember, you do not need to ride everything for the day to be worth it.

Disney Premier Access: Is It Worth It for Rides?
Disney Premier Access can be worth it if there are specific rides you really want to do and the wait times are too long.
There are two main types. Disney Premier Access One lets you pay for fast access to one specific ride during a selected time slot. Disney Premier Access Ultimate gives you fast access to multiple eligible rides without booking separate time slots.
This is not something I would automatically buy for every trip because it can add a lot to the cost. But if you are visiting during a busy season, only have one day, or have one ride you do not want to miss, it can be worth comparing.
The rides where I would most consider Disney Premier Access are usually the popular rides with consistently long waits, like Crush’s Coaster, Big Thunder Mountain, Peter Pan’s Flight, Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure, Ratatouille, and Frozen Ever After depending on the day.
I would check wait times first before buying anything. Sometimes the line is manageable. Sometimes paying once for the ride you care about most saves your day.

Best Rides at Disneyland Park
Disneyland Park is the classic castle park, and if you only have one park day, this is where I would usually start.
It has the rides that feel the most traditionally Disney, with a mix of family rides, thrill rides, dark rides, and nostalgia.
This park is also where you will find Sleeping Beauty Castle and the nighttime show, so it feels like the heart of Disneyland Paris.
If you are visiting Disneyland Paris for the first time, these are the rides I would prioritize in Disneyland Park.

Big Thunder Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain is one of the best rides at Disneyland Paris.
I love that it feels familiar if you have ridden other versions, but the Paris version still stands out. It is fun, fast enough to be exciting, but not so intense that it feels overwhelming for most riders.
This is one of those rides that works well for families, teens, and adults because it has enough thrill without being too much.
It is also one of the rides that can build a long wait, so I would either try to ride it earlier in the day, watch the wait time in the app, or consider Disney Premier Access if the line is too long and it is a priority for you.
If you like Disney rides that are fun, classic, and not too intense, Big Thunder Mountain should be high on your list.

Pirates of the Caribbean
Pirates of the Caribbean is another ride I think is worth doing at Disneyland Paris.
This is one of those classic Disney rides that gives you a full experience without needing to be a thrill ride. You get the boat ride, the scenes, the music, the atmosphere, and that dark-ride storytelling Disney does so well.
It is also nice because it gives you a break from walking and standing around the park.
Pirates can be good for families, but some younger kids may find parts of it a little dark or intense. It is not scary in a horror way, but it does have darker scenes and that pirate atmosphere.
For me, Pirates is one of those rides I like adding because it feels like Disney. Not every ride needs to be the newest or fastest to be worth your time.

Phantom Manor
Phantom Manor is Disneyland Paris’s version of the haunted mansion-style ride, and it fits really well in Frontierland.
I think this is one of the rides that gives Disneyland Paris its own personality. It has that spooky, gothic, slightly eerie feeling, but it is still very Disney.
If you like haunted house-style rides that are more atmospheric than terrifying, Phantom Manor is worth doing.
It may not be the best choice for very young kids who scare easily, but older kids, teens, and adults who like spooky Disney rides will probably enjoy it.
This is also one of the rides that feels different enough from the U.S. versions to be interesting if you are trying to visit every Disney park and compare experiences around the world.

Peter Pan’s Flight
Peter Pan’s Flight is a classic Disney ride, and that is exactly why the wait can get long.
This is not a thrill ride. It is gentle, nostalgic, and family-friendly. You fly over scenes from Peter Pan, and for a lot of people, it is one of those sentimental Disney rides they want to do even if the wait does not always match the ride length.
I like Peter Pan’s Flight, but I would be careful with how long I wait for it.
If the wait is reasonable, do it. If the wait is extremely long and you are not attached to it, I would not let it take over your day. This is one of those rides where Disney Premier Access might make sense if it is a must-do for you and the regular line is too much.
If you are visiting with kids or want that classic Fantasyland feeling, Peter Pan’s Flight is worth considering.

It’s a Small World
It’s a Small World is one of those rides you either love for the nostalgia or do because it is part of the Disney experience.
It is gentle, colorful, family-friendly, and a nice break from the busier parts of the park. It is also good when you need to sit down for a few minutes and get out of the crowd.
I would not call it the most exciting ride in Disneyland Paris, but I do think it belongs on a classic Disney day, especially if you are visiting with kids or want something easy.
Sometimes the rides that give you a break are just as useful as the rides that give you thrills.

Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain
Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain is for thrill riders.
This is not a gentle family coaster. It is dark, fast, and more intense than some people expect from a Disney ride. If you like coasters and Star Wars, it can be a fun one to add.
If you are visiting with kids or family members who do not love intense rides, check the height requirement and know your group before getting in line.
This is one of those rides where you should be honest with yourself. If you like thrill rides, go for it. If you get motion sick or do not enjoy dark coasters, skip it and save your energy.
Disney days are better when you do not force yourself onto rides you already know you will hate.

Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast
Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast is a fun interactive ride, especially if you are visiting with kids or people who like competitive rides.
You ride through and shoot targets, so it gives you something to do besides just sit and watch. This can be a good family ride because it is easy, playful, and not scary.
It can also be fun for teens and adults if everyone gets into the competition.
I would not make it my top ride in the park, but it is a good one to add if the wait time is reasonable or if your group likes interactive attractions.

Best Rides at Disney Adventure World
Disney Adventure World is the second park at Disneyland Paris, and this is where you will find Pixar, Marvel, Frozen, and several newer or more modern-feeling attractions.
This park has changed a lot with the reimagining from Walt Disney Studios Park into Disney Adventure World, and the opening of World of Frozen made it feel more important than before.
If you are visiting both parks, these are the rides I would pay the most attention to in Disney Adventure World.

Frozen Ever After
Frozen Ever After is one of the biggest ride additions at Disneyland Paris because it is inside World of Frozen.
The ride opened with World of Frozen on March 29, 2026, inside Disney Adventure World. It is a family-friendly boat ride through the Frozen story with Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf, music, and the Arendelle theming that makes the whole land feel immersive.
If Frozen is a priority for your trip, this should be high on your list.
I would not leave this ride until the very end of the day if it matters to you. Check wait times, consider where it fits into your route, and make sure your ticket gives you access to Disney Adventure World.
This is also one of those rides that can appeal to people who are not looking for intense thrills. It is more about the story, music, characters, and atmosphere.

Ratatouille: The Adventure
Ratatouille is one of the best rides in Disney Adventure World because it feels so tied to Paris.
You shrink down to Remy’s size and move through a 4D ride experience inspired by the world of Ratatouille. It is cute, fun, and works well because the movie itself already has such a Paris connection.
This is a good ride for families, Disney fans, and anyone who wants something more playful than intense.
It can get busy, so check wait times in the app. If the line is long and it is high on your list, Disney Premier Access may be worth considering.
I like that this ride feels like it belongs at Disneyland Paris. Some Disney rides can exist anywhere, but Ratatouille makes sense here.

Crush’s Coaster
Crush’s Coaster is one of the most popular rides in Disney Adventure World, and the wait can get long.
It is themed around Finding Nemo and has a spinning coaster element, so it is more intense than it may look at first. If you get motion sick, this is one to think about carefully.
Because of the wait times, this is a ride I would prioritize early, watch closely in the app, or consider using Disney Premier Access for if it is a must-do.
I would not casually leave Crush’s Coaster until later in the day and assume the line will magically disappear. It might, but I would not build my plan around that.
If you like coasters and do not mind spinning, put it high on your list.

Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure
Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure is a fun interactive ride in Avengers Campus.
This is a good one if you like rides where you are actively doing something instead of just sitting there. You use your arms to sling webs and help Spider-Man stop the Spider-Bots, so it feels playful and competitive.
It is especially fun with kids, teens, or anyone who gets into interactive rides.
Because it is tied to Marvel and Avengers Campus, it can be popular. Check wait times and decide if it is worth prioritizing for your group.
If Marvel is a big part of your Disney Adventure World plan, this should probably be on your list.
Avengers Assemble: Flight Force
Avengers Assemble: Flight Force is one of the more intense rides in Disney Adventure World.
This is a roller coaster, so it is not going to be for everyone. If you love thrill rides and Marvel, it may be one of your priorities. If you get motion sick, do not like dark coasters, or are traveling with people who prefer gentle rides, it may be a skip.
This is one of the rides where knowing your group matters.
Disneyland Paris has enough variety that you do not need to force every person onto every ride. Let the thrill riders ride, and let everyone else grab a snack or rest.

Tower of Terror
Tower of Terror is one of those rides that people either love or avoid completely.
It has that creepy hotel theme, strong drop sequences, and a lot of anticipation. If you like drop rides, it can be one of the best thrill attractions in Disney Adventure World.
If you hate drops, do not let anyone talk you into it.
This is not one of those “it is not that bad” rides for people who already know they hate the stomach-drop feeling. It is exactly that.
For thrill riders, it is worth doing. For everyone else, skipping it is okay.

Cars Road Trip and Cars Quatre Roues Rallye
The Cars rides are easier, family-friendly options in Disney Adventure World.
Cars Road Trip is more of a gentle ride-through experience, and Cars Quatre Roues Rallye is a spinning-style family ride. These are not the rides I would prioritize if you are only there for thrill rides, but they can be good if you are visiting with younger kids or want something lighter.
Disney days need balance. You cannot do only high-intensity rides all day, especially with kids or mixed-age groups.
The Cars rides can be good filler rides if the wait times are reasonable and you want something easy.

Rides We Skipped or Would Not Prioritize First
Not every ride needs to be a must-do.
This is especially true if you only have one day and are trying to visit both parks. You have to make choices.
Some rides are worth doing if the wait is short, but I would not build my entire day around them. Gentle rides, smaller attractions, or rides you have done many times at other Disney parks can become bonus rides instead of priorities.
That does not mean they are bad. It just means you have to protect your time and energy.
For us, Disney is not just about doing the longest ride list possible. It is about the whole day: the castle, the rides, the shows, the food, the nighttime show, the photos, and the feeling of being there.

That is how my mom felt on our Disney day. She is not a Disney person like we are, but there are moments in the park where the Disney magic still gets through. Sometimes it is the castle. Sometimes it is the nighttime show. Sometimes it is the music or a ride that makes you smile even if you did not expect to care.

One of my biggest Disneyland Paris tips is to save energy for the nighttime show.
It is one of the most special parts of the park, and I would not plan the day so aggressively that you are too exhausted to enjoy it.
Yes, rides matter. But the nighttime show is one of those Disney moments that makes the whole day feel complete. Standing in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle with the music, lights, projections, fireworks, drones, and everyone gathered together is special.
If you are trying to ride everything until the last second, you may end up tired, irritated, and standing in a bad spot for the show.
Plan your ride day with the evening in mind. Do your must-do rides earlier, use the app, take breaks, eat before everyone gets hangry, and give yourself enough time to get a decent spot for the nighttime show.
That final moment is part of the Disney magic.

Where to Stay for a Ride-Focused Disneyland Paris Trip
If rides are your main priority, staying near Disneyland Paris can make the day much easier.
You can start earlier, stay later, take breaks if needed, and avoid a long train ride back to central Paris when everyone is tired.
Disney hotel options include Disneyland Hotel, Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, Disney Newport Bay Club, Disney Sequoia Lodge, Disney Hotel Cheyenne, Disney Hotel Santa Fe, and Disney Davy Crockett Ranch.
Nearby non-Disney options include Hôtel l’Elysée Val d’Europe, Moxy Paris Val d’Europe, Aparthotel Adagio Serris - Val d’Europe, Relais Spa Val d’Europe, Staycity Aparthotels Paris Marne La Vallée, and B&B HOTEL près de Disneyland Paris.
If you are staying in Paris and visiting Disney as a day trip, try to stay near easy RER A access. Areas near Châtelet-Les Halles, Nation, Gare de Lyon, or other good connections can make the Disney day smoother.

What to Eat Between Rides
Do not wait until everyone is starving.
Disney days are long, and if you are trying to ride a lot, it is easy to keep saying “after the next ride” until everyone is tired, hungry, and annoyed.
Use the app to check food options and menus. If mobile order is available for what you want, use it. Keep snacks with you if they are allowed and helpful for your group.
For a ride-focused day, I would keep food simple unless there is a specific dining experience you really want. Quick-service meals, snacks, and planned breaks are usually easier than losing too much time to long sit-down meals.
That said, food is part of the Disney experience too, and some snacks or meals are worth making time for.

Safety and Practical Tips for Ride Days
Disneyland Paris feels family-friendly and controlled, but you still need to pay attention.
Keep your phone, wallet, tickets, and passport secure. The parks get crowded, and the train to and from Paris can also be busy.
